Australian frozen yoghurt shop Yo-Chi has opened its first location in the UK and customers reportedly queued from 6.30 am on the first day to be one of the first to visit the London store.
Creators are behind the frenzy, and Yo-Chi has leaned into this to build buzz as it enters a new market. When the company announced it was coming to London a month ago, the post included clips of creators talking about their love for Yo-Chi, including podcasters Sophia Tuxford and Cinzia Baylis-Zullo. The Girls Bathroom hosts are obsessed with the fro-yo shop and they were invited to cut the ribbon for the opening.
Ahead of the grand opening, influencers were invited to review and try Yo-Chi. Guests included Max Balegde, Fari (Dine with Fari), Sof (With Sof), Holly Jai, Olly Bowman, Savannah Sachdev, Claudia Grenier, Maisie Jones and more who attended the preview event. The brand’s interviews with guests gained more than 88,000 views, while creator content cumulatively gained hundreds of thousands of views. Baledge’s review has more than 430,000 views.
