“It girl” beauty brand 

US YouTuber Olivia Jade announced her beauty brand O.piccola, set to launch on 12 May with a highlighter and bronzer stick duo. The creator has kept the brand marketing minimal and filmed a Q&A video, which had 1.1 million views and 1,600 comments in 48 hours. The first look video has 2.3 million views.

Creators have been sharing their theories about the brand, including Brooke Yoakam who compared its clean girl aesthetic to rhode. Her video had 64,000 views in 24 hours. Alex (alexnlofton) filmed a deep dive into the brand launch, while Gigi Vala noted she would need a lighter product shade for her skin tone. Vala’s video has had 175,500 views in less than 24 hours.

Makeup palette and brush transition 

Beauty creators have been filming a new glam makeup transition to rapper Megan Thee Stallion’s song NDA and showcasing their makeup palette and brush, and their finished glam. Leilani Green participated in the trend with a Chanel palette and has had 523,000 views in 48 hours.

Montana Kaoud shared her take on the trend using a YSL Beauty blush and Morphe brush, which has had 832,000 views in 24 hours. Margaret Kovalcin also participated in the trend, as did Rosa Chang-Crespo with a YSL Beauty bronzer – her transition has had 230,000 views in less than 24 hours.

Met Gala makeup 

Creators have been replicating their favourite makeup looks from this year’s Mer Gala, including Raquel Llorente and Isabelle Rose who recreated model Anok Yai’s bronze statue-inspired look. Rose’s tutorial had 808,500 views in five days.

Erin Rose, Samantha Harvey and Vanessa Stern filmed makeup tutorials inspired by singer Tate McRae’s bronzed glam, while makeup artist Jenna Bellhouse recreated the singer’s look on model Eva Nostdal and gained 681,000 views in six days. Danielle Estrada replicated Hailey Bieber’s glowy makeup, which has had 222,500 views in 24 hours.
