While a wedding Pinterest board can offer outfit, decor, DIY and hair inspiration, it hasn’t been able to include the impact of a worldwide pandemic and widespread lockdowns. Last year saw a trend of Zoom weddings, elopements and small ceremonies as a result, with The Knot reporting 47% of couples postponed their special day.

In the past, wedding trends have witnessed the rise of everything from flower crowns and balloon arches to shabby chic aesthetics and extravagant ice sculptures, but as we navigate the ‘new normal’, trends are now being shaped by the pandemic.
